Thanks for being you! I know a lot of Christians and especially pastors who try to pass themselves off as perfect. I am happy that you are not afraid to share that you are just like each and everyone of us. We all are blessed to have an honest man for a pastor!!!

I love how God places people in our path to be mirrors for our own lives. Showing us the areas we can refine and transform to become more like Jesus - more holy. Nobody can control another person, but we can all have control over our own actions.

Personally, were I in your situation I know I too would be angry. And I don't think it is a bad thing to be angry in this situation. (Actually, I would have likely been scared. Scared for the dangerous situation this man put me and my family in. Yet, it would come out as anger.) I think the key is how we can appropriately express our anger.

The lifelong process of holiness for me includes ownership of my piece of the problem, a drive to growth and development in myself, surrendering everything that gets in the way of truth & love, and purity of heart. I appreciate you taking the time to recognize this in yourself instead of just making the other driver wrong for his actions. Kudos to you for sharing this and being dedicated to holiness. This is why I love you as my pastor!

Last fall the Cub Scouts passed out water for a 5K run in Prospect Heights. They all had a great time doing it. It would be cool if we could get the Children's Ministry on the water duty. :)
