Our Leadership

Our church is made up of people from different backgrounds and all ages. One thing remains constant, however; the stories of lives changed through the power of Jesus Christ. We believe our church is best when our people are involved in worshiping, growing, and serving.

He graduated from Trinity International University where he studied Christian Ministries (Youth Emphasis), Biblical Studies, and Communications. He’s currently studying at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School for a Master of Arts in Educational Ministries. He’s married to Elizabeth who he says is the “bomb-diggity.”

His primary responsibilities are with our middle and high school youth ministries – teaching, discipling, and building relationships with students and adult leaders. He is passionate about Jesus and relationships! In his spare time he enjoys gathering with friends and family to play disc golf or board games. Simon is also a big sports fan – the Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions are his favorite teams.

Adam Beranek

Adam and his wife, Alexandra, joined us in November 2017. The rest of his family consists of his dog Oliver (border collie mix) and cat Luna (Siamese mix).

He likes woodworking, traveling, and the great outdoors. He has toured most of the United States as an audio engineer and currently is also a teacher and coach for Worship Ministry School.

Jim Young

Jim wears a lot of different hats at ACC, overseeing areas including facilities, technology, finances, policies, legal matters, and publicity. In some of these areas he gets directly involved, while in others he leads a team. Since 2003, he has worked hard behind the scenes to make sure the ministries of ACC have maximum impact.

Jim is married to Elissa. He continues to work part-time as a bench jeweler. He likes to knit, crochet, garden, and has enjoyed computer programming since before he entered kindergarten! Jim has been involved in mission trips all across the US as well as Canada, Brazil, Kenya, and South Africa.

Carolyn Eiter

Secretary

Who types faster than a speeding bullet, answers the phone in a warm, professional tone, and knows where to find the key to the food pantry? That would be Carolyn, on staff since July of 2004.

Carolyn has a handsome husband named Chuck and three grown kids: Tim (Andrea), Ellen, and Andy. Her interests include reading, hiking, and bike riding.

Jim is a self-described “sports nut” (Go Sox!!!) and loves coaching his children’s teams when he can. His favorite sports moment was being in attendance at game 2 of the ’05 World Series when Scott Podsednik hit a walk-off homerun!

He enjoys the opportunity to be a servant leader to the people of ACC and the surrounding community and seeing the life-changing power of Jesus Christ in people’s lives. He looks forward to the day when his boys will be the first brothers to play pitcher and catcher for the White Sox at the same time.
